Dick Terry

Lead Pastor

Pastor Terry, affectionately known as Bro. Dick, has served at First Free Will Baptist Church since April 8th, 2007. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Randall University in Moore, OK from 2017 until May of 2021 and was recently added to the Oklahoma State of Free Will Baptists Executive Board. He is also the clerk for the Center Association of Oklahoma Free Will Baptists.
Bro. Dick was born in Kansas City, Missouri on March 10, 1971. He accepted Jesus Christ as Savior at the age of five and answered the call to full time ministry while attending Randall University (formerly Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College). He graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in Theology while winning the Academic Theology Award in 1995.
Bro. Dick married Teresia Roebuck in 1991 and they have two children and a son-in-law. His daughter  Mattie (born in 1999) is married to Nathon Wesley. His son Jett (born in 2006) goes to Sulphur Schools and plays golf and basketball.
Pastor Terry has served his denomination in many capacities. He is currently the General Board Member to the National Association of Free Will Baptists from the state of Oklahoma. He currently is serving on the Executive Board for the Oklahoma State of Free Will Baptists. He is also the clerk of the Center District Association of Oklahoma Free Will Baptists since 2007. He previously served on the Board of Trustees for Randall University serving as its chairman the last four years of his tenure.
Bro. Dick has served several churches as Youth and Music Minister in Oklahoma and Arkansas. After serving Sulphur First as Youth and Music Minister in the mid 90’s, the church called Bro. Dick to become their pastor in 2007. He is an avid bass fisherman and loves OU football.
 Bro. Dick loves to have a good time, but also loves to preach the Word. He is passionate about building relationships with the people of his church and community.

Tyler Burke

Youth Pastor

Pastor Tyler began serving at Sulphur First in December of 2021. His passion for the furtherance of the gospel inspires his work in ministering to and discipling youth for the Kingdom.
Tyler graduated from Randall University in May of 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Worship and Music Studies and from Liberty University with a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry degree in May of 2022.
Tyler was ordained to the gospel ministry through the Midway Association of Free Will Baptists. He has served in various capacities in church ministry as well as the former Ministry and Campus Life Assistant and Executive Assistant for Development at Randall University.
Tyler is originally from Leesburg, Georgia. He is an avid sportsman and enjoys all things outdoors.

Krista Burke

Ministry Assistant

Krista serves as the Ministry Assistant at Sulphur First, where she brings her passion for serving others and her skills in organization and administration to support the church's mission. In addition to her role at the church, Krista also works as a Marketing Assistant at D6 Family Ministry, specializing in marketing and social media management.
Krista is a graduate of Welch College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Theological Studies. . With her background in both business and theology, Krista is committed to using her talents to further the kingdom of God and make a positive impact in the lives of those around her.
Originally from Nashville, TN, Krista made the move to Sulphur to join her husband Tyler Burke. She is a proud aunt to three sweet nephews who bring joy and laughter to her life.

Beverly Runyan

Secretary and Treasurer

Beverly Runyan, who grew up in this church, has served as the Church Secretary and Treasurer since November 2012. She worked for the OSU Extension Service for 25 years before retiring and coming to work at the church full time. She and her husband Joe have two daughters and two son-in-laws, Briana and Tracey Laxton, Becca and Jason Ward and 6 wonderful grandchildren, Nadalie & Levi Laxton, Sean, Kylie, Oaklie, and Emmie Ward and they all attend and are members of our church.
Beverly loves spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren’s activities.

Michelle Wright

Custodian

Michelle Wright has been the church custodian since 2013. Before coming to Sulphur First, she worked with special needs clients. She has four children: Shaontel (born in 1998), T.J. (born in 2002), Michael (born in 2008), and Gracie (born in 2009). She also has guardianship over her niece Adrianna (born in 2004).
Michelle loves spending time with her family and cooking.
